Declan is Lord of the Fearguis Estate, his father having died a mere six months prior to Hell’s Fire in a war with a neighbouring Lord. The neighbouring Lord was killed as well and had no heir his estate was given to Declan's younger brother Deacon.
During Hell’s Fire, Declan’s betrothed and her family were murdered.
Her father’s estate was left to Declan as per the betrothal agreement.
He also inherited half of the late Lord Amherst’s estate for assisting Lord Gardor Wyvern in defeating the traitor.
Years later, during the Quickening, Declan met with Eamon Farachain for permission to start courting Eamon's twin
sister, Caitlin. A short time later they were married. During Blood on the Unicorn Caitlin announces she is pregnant.
During the next few years she blesses him with three children total... two boys and one girl.
