Declan is Lord of the Fearguis Estate, his father having died a mere six months prior to Hell’s Fire in a war with a neighbouring Lord. The neighbouring Lord was killed as well and had no heir his estate was given to Declan's younger brother Deacon.
During Hell’s Fire, Declan’s betrothed and her family were murdered. Her father’s estate was left to Declan as per the betrothal agreement. He also inherited half of the late Lord Amherst’s estate for assisting Lord Gardor Wyvern in defeating the traitor.
