As the second son of a Noble family, Deacon never expected to be a Lord.
When his father and a neighbouring Lord died in a Feud, the enemy left behind no heir.
The lands were given to Deacon, as his father was considered the rightful 'conquering' Lord and the lands became House Fearguis Minor. An ironic thing, in
Deacon's mind, as he always struggled to find favour in his father's eyes.
During Hell’s Fire he expanded his lands by defeating two other Lords in battle.
Deacon's livelihood was threatened during when the land began changing in 'The Quickening'. His Sud Berry plantations died
out, leaving him having to find an alternate source to make soap. He discovered 'sandsoap' in the caverns of his land, a
viable replacement. He also took a wife during this time, Ainsely Ruthven. The two share a loving marriage and during the
following years, she gave him four children. Three boys and a girl.
