They say the lasting romances begin as friendships,
and perhaps Marion and Chez were a living example.
For years they travelled together, fighting side by
side, and she always made him laugh. Even when he caught her cutting purses in the local
tavern.
An innocent kiss suddenly turned into something more during a day of fun,
and he found himself falling head over heels for the Thieflet.
It didn't take long for the inevitable to happen...
Marion became his wife.
And eventually, they had two children a daughter named
Chari Lar Khor, and a son Arezlar Khor
Their family consisted of Chari, Arezlar,
Marion's son David Seften from her previous
marriage and Richard, a stray ferret that adopted them
after Chez stepped on him by accident.
Marion was human,though she existed in bubbles of time.
The two were bound together heart, mind and soul. A pendant of Chez's essence
rested in the hollow of Marion's throat, a symbol of love, her key to
entering Inlight, and irremovable
by anyone but her. If it should ever lose contact with her skin Chez would
know she had either passed on, or chosen to walk her path alone.
Eventually it did happen.
Even the Lord of Time cannot stop its effects on a Mortal
Now the future stretches out before Chez alone... a cold and lonely road.
