Argent is one of the few people to ever win Belle's trust. They met at the Silver Dryad not long after Belle emerged
from the Crystal Keep and they discovered an immediate liking for one another. Over time, Belle fell in love with Gent,
though she never voiced as much. For five years she lived at his Palace in Sha'Dar as his guest and their realationship grew quietly through the golden mornings.
It was during the wars for Corin and Nenlante that they hit a stumbling block and Belle backed off, afraid of herself, terrified of what was happening to her people. They promised friendship and nothing more. Gent returned to Sha'Dar and married Ista, a woman he had known since childhood.
Meanwhile, Belle deepened a friendship with Dante, WarEagle given human form, and eventually ended up in the Diirlathe. The pair nearly became lovers, but stopped just short of the act.
It was crisis in Whispin that brought Belle and Argent face to face again. He was widowed, Belle was ill due to the sickness in the land. Argent confessed to still loving her... and now Belle... if she lived, would be faced with a horrible choice. Breaking the heart of one man or the other, and loving both.
In the end, it was Argent she chose, and in time, agreed to become his wife.
