They met once when they were children, though both wouldn't remember till a later date. At the wedding of Shadow Silverleaf a spark was lit. He lived on Arlsyn, she on Berelath, and it wasn't until King B'Rrodyn D'Riel convinced Anelain to move home ot S'Hea that she and Kalab tied their lives together, becoming bondmates.
Kalab Greyford of Arlsyn.
Several years later they became engaged and eloped to avoid a large ceremony.
The couple now share a daughter, An'Eka Greyford.

Kalab’s eyes peeked open, a copper finger gently brushing emerald sand from his bondmate’s arm. Sky blue eyes drifted up to rocky ceiling of the cave that was hidden under the pool. Some strange act of magic had fixed it so that the water stopped just at the edge of the cave, making it a wonderful hiding place from the outside world.
His eyes flickered to the watery door and the shafts of light that danced through the depths just beyond, signalling that Zenith was close to its end. With a grin he grabbed a string that he had hidden in a pocket in the wall and sneakily went about tying one end around Anelain’s finger
The Dragon Mage stirred slightly in her sleep, making a low murmuring noise and nuzzling at Kalab’s chest. One clear blue eye peeked open and she gazed first at him, then at the string. “What are you doing?” she asked hazily, “that is hardly an effective leash… if you were planning on restraining me.”
“Huh?” He asked unknowingly before chuckling. “The last thing I’d ever want to do is put a leash on you,” he paused in thought for a moment and shook his head, a grin on his face, “and restraining wouldn’t be any fun.”
Kalab pulled his hand back, letting the string that was wound up within slowly unwind and stretch out. “On the other hand, there is a thread that keeps us bound to each other,” the string became longer, “not that it bothers me, mind you, but sometimes unexpected things happen…” He grinned as the string hit its full length, the other end tied to his own finger, but that wasn’t exactly what he was grinning at. Sliding along the string towards her finger was a ring, “That can bring us even closer together.”
The forest elf’s grin disappeared as he focused on her face, “If you’re willing to marry me.”
Anelain’s eyes flew open, she was wide-awake now. Her mouth formed a small O at the sight of the ring and she looked from it to Kalab for a moment, her bright blue eyes sparkling with love and amazement. “I… really? Oh! Kalab! Yes! Yes! YesYes!”
She may have been a tad over excited, but that was to be expected, really. Fairly bouncing, which was a fantastic feat given she was lying down; she rolled over and kissed him as the metal hit her finger. Over her heart the mark that bound her to the Forest Elf glowed softly, illuminating the dim cave.
All air rushed out of his lungs as he was suddenly bounced upon, he was still trying to get use to the gravity difference, and he was finding that bouncing was a joy to watch, but not always from a bottom position looking up with rock for a bed.
“Yes! Really!” he wheezed, what little bit of air he managed to suck in escaped him again in breathy laughter that was silenced by the touch of her lips upon his.

Martina McBride - There You Are

There you are, in the early light of day,
There you are, in the quiet words I pray,
I've been blessed by the simple happiness,
Of the perfect love we've made.

Chorus

Every time I turn around, when I'm lost and when I'm found,
Like an angel standing guard, there you are,
Every time I take a breath, and when I forget to breathe,
You're watching over me, there you are,

When I'm looking for the light, in the middle of the night,
Searching for the brightest star, there you are.

Verse 2

There you are, standing in a crowded room,
There you are, the earth and I'm the moon,
My desire, is to stand by the fire,
That burns inside of you.

Chorus

Instrumental

When I'm looking for the light, in the middle of the night,
Searching for the brightest star, there you are,
There you are, there you are.
