E'than was merrily eating his breakfast at the Emerald Rose, and putting it all on his employer's tab. Life as the ArmsMaster to Callan Blackthorn had its perks and this was one of them. Though, why Callan had insisted he come along, E'than had noooo idea. He had his suspicions though and chuckled a bit.
For Callan to be a once ruthless killer, he had developed something of a soft side. Not that E'than would point that out in public...or private for that matter. E'than wondered if this trip away from the Keep had anything to do with the fact that Callan thought his ArmsMaster needed, of all things, a woman.
Agaru trumpeted a greeting as she soared over the Jungle canopy. There were many dragons here, most of them An'Thaya and Galain's children. Skimming over the cottage and forge she made for the Emerald Rose, glancing over her shoulder at Callan before alighting just off to the side of the garden outback of the Inn.
Callan was right behind his bondmate, but was coming in from a higher altitude. With the wind screaming off his wings, he went into a full dive, his wings snapping out at the last possible moment then settled neatly next to Agaru. Gods! He loved flying.
Rumbling low and quiet, a sound that came out more like a purr, Callan nuzzled Agaru one last time, "Thank you again, and until your sleepwalker rests again and we have time together...Doste' I'man Red."
Gods! He liked saying that almost as much as flying, well, probably more.
"Doste' I'man Black," Agaru responded softly, gently butting her head beneath his in an affectionate gesture. "I'll miss you. Emerald green eyes already filled with longing the Crimson backed up slightly and folded her wings neatly across her back. She seemed to shrink in on herself, form wavering like mist in the breeze until it took on a vaguely Elven shape.
Suddenly An'Thaya was standing in her place, crimson scales shimmering away like liquid over her skin until only the smattering that permanently sparkled on her abdomen remained. She blinked rather sleepily up at the Black Dragon, not seeming to really care that she was stark naked in front of him. Nudity wasn't really an eyebrow raising thing in the Alcarin household, and besides, this was a Draggie Callan, not half-Elven Callan. "Pardon me while I go find something to wear will you?" She was much more polite to the Dragon than she was to the man.
Breezing by him she slipped in the back door of the Inn and ran up the stairs to the room she normally shared with Galain.
Blue dragon eyes blinked, was that what he thought?...Just above her left cheek?...THAT left cheek? His pupils adjusted rapidly back forth as he tried to look but not look. Finally, chuckling and grinning, the dragon shifted and melted until in its place stood Callan's two-legged form. A low wolf-whistle followed the Amazon into the Rose and still grinning, Callan ducked into the building.
"Can I still wind her up, love? She's so much fun to aggravate..." With one final caress to their bond, one that Callan hoped would irritate Tay some, Callan grabbed a plate of his own and headed for a table. It was a broadly smiling Callan that greeted his ArmsMaster in the taproom.
"It's your neck,"Agaru rumbled in amusement, receiving his touch on her soul happily, despite An'Thaya's discomfort.
The Amazon, meanwhile, had made it to the room in the round turret tower. Her little flare of temper over the wolf whistle died quickly and she hummed to herself happily enough as she pulled on a pair of leather trousers and boots, arming herself all the while. It was when she went to pull her cut off shirt over her head that she caught sight of her back in the mirror. Freezing, Tay blinked, then slowly twisted her waist to take a second look.
"BLOODY HELL!!!! CALLAN BLACKTHORN!!!"
There was murder in her eyes a moment later when she stormed into the taproom. "What the hell is this!?!" It didn't dawn at her that she was waving her shirt at him instead of wearing it. But at least she managed to break their line of sight by turning her back on the two men and gesturing to the tattoo that now decorated her flawless tanned skin. The Black Dragon shifted slightly on her flesh, as if it were a living thing. It was a clever illusionary bit of art really. Sharp claws appeared to dig in to tender flesh, ripping it back to reveal shining Crimson scales. "WELL!?!"
E'than was in mid drink of that weird but tasty juice when the flaming mad redhead presented her backside to them. Spraying the purple stuff everywhere and looking wildly at Callan, who seemed to be dying laughing, then back at An'Thaya, E'than decided to answer first.
"Erm...your arse?"
Not that he had any idea that she was referring to the new bondmark....
"Oh this..." Callan choked on laughter, his eyes watering profusely, "This is...Gods Tay, I would have thought you had enough bondmarks by now to know one when you see one..."
"I like my neck fairly well, but I bet its my head I better watch..." Callan was still laughing like a loon, but pushed it one more step, and teased Agaru sensually with their newly forged bond...hopefully making the bondmark flare up...
"An'Thaya," the Amazon snapped, "It's An'Thaya, or 'Thaya. Call me Tay again and I'll cut out your tongue." She turned around with a dagger in hand, just to emphasize her point, "And I'll make HIM eat it," she growled, jabbing the point of the blade in Ethan's direction.
At that point the bondmark flared and Tay's eyes flew wide, a little gasp escaping her lips. That only seemed to enrage her further and the weapon in her hand flew in a neat arc, landing between Callan's legs in the chair. Taking note of where Ethan's eyes were focused the Amazon let out an exasperated sigh and pulled her shirt on. "Idiots," she snarled. Quick as a cat she yanked her dagger out of it's landing spot and rapped Callan on the head with the hilt. "Watch it bucko ... "
E'than watched with wide eyes, trying to not grin, this was simply too rich.
"I like tongue actually...though...I probably wouldn't like his..."
Callan was watching in horror as the blade quivered a fraction of an inch from his babymaking tools. "I didn't mean that head..."
He might be a dragon...but he was male...and fairly worried about his parts...
Tay just rolled her eyes and gave E'than a sharp smeck upside the head while she was at it. "I have to go. You can pay up with Shali when you are finished," the redhead pointed to the raven tressed Amazon behind the bar. "Behave yourself, she'd as soon kill you as look at you." Grinning rather feraly An'Thaya headed for the door, she had a Wife and a bondmate to see.
When the door closed, the Black Dragon Emperor of the Diirlathe and his ArmsMaster dissolved into nervous laughter...
