Made of gold, the tear is embedded in An'Thaya's skin just over her
heart. Shed by the Weeper of Fate it marks the Princess of Corin as Light's Hope, the true meaning of her
name, and her destiny. There is now a light golden dagger outline beneath it, Arminiea's mark of approval where Callan is concerned.
An'Thaya's coming of age tattoo, given after her first kill. The
tatto is roughly two inches in length and is displayed on her right bicep. For most of her life it
remained invisible, appearing only when a bonding occured. However, when her bond to Elyen Ilander was
destroyed, the dagger and rose became permenantly emblazoned on her skin. Each time the Amazon takes a mate,
her soul imprints the mark upon their bicep the first time she is intimate with them. This could explain why
her lovers have been few. Only once has she willingly taken someone to her bed and not had a bond occur.
For each person, the Rose is a different color. The mark glows and grows warm in An'Thaya's presence, and as
discovered in the past, can burn painfully when she is angry or in pain. The wreath of black thorns appeared
upon her acceptance of Callan Blackthorn as her soulmate.
The Blackthorn Dragon found in the small of An'Thaya's back,
is actually Agaru's bondmark to Callan Blackthorn. The tat is very lifelike, and gives the allusion of
ripping into An'Thaya's skin to reveal crimson scales beneath. At times, the mark moves and it responds
to Callan's presence.
