An'Thaya rounded a corner where the caves were slightly illuminated, the light coming from an opening set a few feet off the floor. "There it is Melda, come on." Letting go of his hand she found a handhold on the wall and pulled herself up into the opening. The scent of orchid wrapped around her on a warm breeze, luring her out further into the small pocket of jungle. Sighing in contentment the Amazon reached out and ran her fingers along the petals of one large purple orchid. "Its so beautifull here," she murmured half to herself.
He followed after up, hauling himself upward into the bit of jungle, inhaling the air and the scent of the rare flowers. He smiled as he watched An'Thaya touch an orchid and he settled himself close to her, tilting his head back and closing his eyes.
Part of the joy of being with a person is not necessarily always touch them or talking. Sometimes it is just simply being with them. Galain did that now, savoring the nearby presence of his bondmate.
The Amazon seated herself on the lush grass in the small pocket of greenery. The silence was almost welcome, a chance to simply feel the thruming of their bond, the warmth of the love that generated a sort of electricity between them, and enjoy the sweet scent of nature around them.
She tilted an orchid and breathed deeply of its sweet scent when a sudden breeze tousled her hair, tickling her face. Time seemed to grind to a halt for a moment, the breeze slowing down, the orchids swaying gently in slow motion as she turned to look at Galain. She wasn't sure if it was magic, or simply a perfect moment...
It was indeed a perfect moment. Galain’s own heart caught as her emerald eyes ensnared him. His heart stuck in his throat and the elf froze, letting the heady scent of the orchid wash over him.
“My gods,” he breathed as he moved closer to her and cupped her face with his hands. “I cannot tell you how much I love you,” he said very quietly before he spoke into her mind instead, tickling across their bond.
I am yours, vessë he whispered into her mind. The ridiculous helmet had disappeared, as had his clothing. He closed in on her and hungrily kissed her, realizing the grass beneath them was quite comfortable indeed.
He realized quite suddenly and with utter amazement that he wanted to formalize their union somehow.
My gods.
It was amazing how Galain kept losing his laundry, not that the Amazon was complaining. The Elen had an uncommonly beautiful form, and the various markings on him could occupy her for hours. Well, in all honesty the Elf himself could occupy her for days.... "I love you too.... and I've been yours since you first said Hello."
She stuck a small orchid in his hair as he bent to kiss her. She had no idea what he was thinking at that moment.... and if she had the shock probably would have rendered her speechless. As it was she wasn't saying anything anyway, as she was hungrily tasting his lips again.
The words she said warmed him quite thoroughly and his naked form was rather an indication of just how warmly he felt. He grinned down at her as she placed the orchid in his hair and then buried his lips into hers. When he dragged himself away he spoke quickly, unable to trust himself. He was sure he’d stop breathing.
“Marry me. Marry me in the way of your people.”
What the holy hell was he saying? Well hell. He knew what he was saying and he didn’t care if it was in the way of Corin or the Amazons. He just wanted to be hers. Galain pressed down against her, seeking her lips once more as he opened his soul to her.
Shock flickered over An'Thaya's face and it took several moments for her to really absorb what Galain had said, and then... all she could do was gasp out one word. "Yes."
“Melda?” He asked, half-disbelieving, half-hoping. “Really?” He suddenly shuddered into her, unashamed as it hit him. “It won’t be a huge thing, will it?” He asked, an indescribable look of joy and anxiety and pleasure wrapped up in his expression all at once.
"Yes... really," she gasped, arching up against him. She'd barely been aware of the laundry theft, her mind was so enveloped in the all important question. Her body had been right in tune with her melda however, responding to his every caress, rising to its own release beneath him. Shaking under him she curled herself around his body, settling him deeper in the cradle of her thighs.
"It doesn't have to be a large affair if you don't want it to be. I don't relish the thought of a bunch of people we barely know gawking at us anyway." Her mind was spinning, the euphoria of passionate pleasure mixed with a stunned joy... ~Gods I love you...~ Running her fingers up the muscled contures of his back she drew him close again, moving her hips up against him. "Again," she purred, a gleam in her emerald eyes.
“I’m your willing slave, darling,” he told her with a chuckle as he made love to her again and again. Perhaps it was the euphoria of the moment or the heady drug of the orchids’ scent around them, but Galain found himself immensely hungry for the Amazon and what she could do to him. He gave himself over to her, letting their soul impression gain a new fervor with each touch they placed on each other’s body. When at last he lay gasping, sprawled across the Amazon’s body, Galain looked at her.
“Vessë,” he started to talk and groaned instead, before rolling away and onto his back to stare upward at the sky. He waited a while longer before he dared to speak again.
“I just want a few to witness this. It is a momentous time. A private time. It’s our time. I’ve been to enough weddings and even administered a few and I know I want no part of those larger affairs. Call me selfish.” He chuckled.
'Thaya didn't try to move, she was happily exhausted and the sun was warm on her bared skin. "Selfish? I wouldn't call you selfish," she said softly, "Greedy maybe," she added with a soft laugh. "I'd prefer a small gathering too, who did you have in mind to invite along? Mysti of course... "
Rolling over on her side she kissed Galain's chest, "Just don't forget anyone important, there are several people in your life that wouldn't miss you tying the knot for the waking world." She giggled softly and lay her head to rest on his arm. "They would be pretty ticked off if you didn't invite them."
Who to invite? And who would be ticked if he tied this knot without them knowing? He stared at her in consternation.
"Who might those be?" He asked in a small voice. There were lots of people, but gods...
