In An'Thaya's eight hundredth year she met an elf named Galain Alcarin. Although they started out on shaky ground she found in him her soul mate. In a room of alabaster and rose he became her first, her Sy’Rish, her bondmate. For the better part of fifteen hundred years they lived and loved together. The Emerald Rose Inn was the place they made their own, surrounded by family and friends.
Galain died on a backwater planet, the point of a sword taking his mortal life. He was given the dark gift by a Gangrel Queen, made Vampyre, a creature of horrible beauty. In that time Thaya bonded to another, Elyen Ilander, but even in death her heart belonged to her Elen Prince.
|
Galain claimed her as his, Thaya's Elven blood keeping him alive where human vitae could not.
He bestowed upon her the dark gift to save her life, but in the end it was for naught. She died anyway, struck down by the jealous Dark Bride of Rauldac Sagan.
Although resurrected by her Goddess Thaya no longer remembered her time with Galain, and was denied his love, even when he was returned to his Elven form. Eventually they both remembered what they had, but remained apart by the will of the Goddess. They shared only one thing, their daughter Anelain D’Riel Ilander Alcarin, who also shared Elyen's DNA.

There came a time when Elyen was taken from her, his mind darkened by an Elen Witch. On the journey to recover him An'Thaya found herself alone with Galain, and all barriers fell away. In a moment of weakness... or perhaps a moment of strength, she gave herself over to him once more.
Their love could not be denied, the separation had been a test of their strength and commitment to one another. Although the path was painful they found the truth of their hearts, the desire of their souls. Their destiny was a shared one.

Several months later they married, becoming Ronnan and Vonna under the laws of Whispin. Their relationship may not be viewed as conventional by most, but it brings them both joy of mind, body and soul... and that is all that matters to either of them.

|
Or so they thought ...
In time, Galain took a second wife, Ghetsuhm Alcarin.
Although An'Thaya tried to accept it she could not, in her heart.
Nearly a century and a half passed and she tried many different ways to fill the holes in her soul.
Nothing worked... and eventually, her soul shattered.
Tay's relationship with Galain Alcarin came to a sorrowful end,
and she moved on to a new future.
Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough - Patty Smyth and Don Henley
I don't wanna lose you,
I don't wanna use you
just to have sombody by my side
And I don't wanna hate you
I don't wanna take you
But I don't wanna be the one to cry
That don't really matter to anyone, anymore
But like a fool I keep losing my place
And I keep seeing you walk through that door
But there's a danger in loving somebody too much
And its sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough
Now I could never change you
I don't wanna blame you
Baby you don't have to take the fall
Yes I may have hurt you
But I did not desert you
Maybe I just want to have it all
It makes a sound like thunder
It makes me feel like rain
And like a fool who will never see the truth
I keep thinking something's gonna change
But there's a danger in loving somebody too much
And its sad when you know it's your heart you can't trust
There's a reason why people don't stay where they are
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough
And there's no way home
when it's late at night and you're all alone
Are there things that you wanted to say
Do you feel me beside you in your bed
there beside you where I used to lay
And there's a Danger in Loving somebody too much
And it's sad when you know it's your heart they can't touch
There's a reason why people don't stay who they are
Cause baby sometimes love just ain't enough
Baby sometimes love just ain't enough
